For the Mechatronics course in the 1st Master year of the Bruface program for Mechatronics-Construction, we had to develop a robot, to merge our knowledge about different disciplines into one project. Our project team chose to build a Wheel Inverted Pendulum. An inverted pendulum is a pendulum with it's center of mass above it's pivot point. This system is inherently unstable, and must be balanced in order to remaining upright. To balance our robot, we chose to make it "wheeled": the robot balances by moving it's pivot point horizontally by the means of two wheels.
