Active in the field of prosthetics and exoskeletons, both in rehabilitation and human augmentation. He received a personal PhD Grant from the Flemish
government (IWT) and obtained his PhD in 2017 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His PhD research focused on creating and investigating a compliant
transfemoral prosthesis as part of the CYBERLEGs (FP7) and CYBERLEGs ++ (H2020) projects, aiming to make people walk in a natural way while reducing
the energy consumption of the robotic device. He has been active in exoskeleton projects focusing on rehabilitation (MIRAD IWT Belgium) and assistance
(Exo4Work FWO Belgium).
