Amin Khorasani was born in Ghuchak, Iran, in 1991. In 2013, he graduated from Babol Noshirvani University of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2016, he obtained his Master of Science in Mechatronics Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology. He won first place in the creativity exhibition at the ICROM Conference for his master‚s thesis on designing a Delta parallel robot.

After graduation, he became a research and development engineer at ARAS responsible for developing surgical/haptic robots and equipment for an international research project on the development of robotic vitreoretinal eye surgery.

Additionally, he has two years of experience as an R&D engineer at PMD Partner (A German company) in the development of several mechanical and mechatronics products.

Since Feb. 2021 he has been working as a PhD researcher in the Robotics and Multibody Mechanics (R&MM) research group at VUB. At the R&MM group, his research focuses on the design and development of redundant actuators for cobot applications.
